zesty wooden floors

As many of you know, I only have homemade natural cleaning products in the house. See this post for a list of homemade cleaning recipes. I was using a peppermint teabag/vinegar mixture for the wooden floors but it wasn't holding up against the likes of L'il B and his greasy monkey hands, so today I tried a new recipe:

2 cups white vinegar
2 cups warm water
1 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup lux (soap flakes)

The soap in this recipes made for a bit more of a washing commitment (washing and then rinsing) but the end result was sparkling floors with a zesty smelling finish!

What a way to start off the weekend. I'm sure they'll still be sparkling by Monday...

Thanks for the eco friendly recipe for cleaning floors. I've almost finished my bottle of cleaner so this recipe will come in handy.xo

Lemon juice is good for cleaning the tarnish from copper too, and for using as a rinse (mixed with water) on fair hair if it has been washed with soap instead of shampoo.
