creative space- scooter corduroys

1 m X 1 m thrifted navy blue corduroy +
leftover scraps of scooter themed linen +
elastic +
homemade pattern

= funky playpants and one very proud and happy mama!

(note to self for future creations: cloth nappies require a bigger bottom!)

For more creative affairs visit Kirsty's, preferably with a large cup of tea or coffee in hand.

I love these - well done! I love the kitchen too :)

They look great. Those cloth bottoms do take up a bit more room don't they.

They look so great! I love cords, so snug & warm.

They are gorgeous! The best part about making the bum part bigger to fit the nappy is that one day when they are out of nappies and taller, the pants fit them all over again.

Yes, I've made the same mistake re: cloth nappies on a few pairs of pants. And now older son is out of them he's back to no bottom!! You can't win...

I adore that scooter fabric and you've found just the right way to use it, well done to you.

I love the scooter - we are huge scooter fans here. Mr B restores old vintage ones.

Love the kitchen too!!

The pants are fantastic and look super comfy. One good thing about those nappies is that it helps keep their trousers up! My poor Eloise runs everywhere holding her pants and skirts up because she has absolutely no bum to hold them up. Love the little play kitchen. too cute!

They are fab!! How many times have I not allowed for the little cloth bum! He looks super cute in his pants in front of his wee kitchen :)

Well done, they look very cute!
I like the sustainable "theme" to your blog, I'm doing a project at uni about sustainable design and upcycling at the momene - very interesting!

Thanks for your comment btw, I might upload the animation to my blog when it's finished;) It's my first (15 seconds) 2D animation so don't expect too much haha.

I love the pocket on the back especially! And I know what you mean about needing a bit of extra girth round the cloth nappy ... although my fellow has just started on the undies now so we have the reverse problem!
