my creative space- no baby, but I have gnomes...

Well, first of all for all those checking up on me- our little girl is, as North would say, "Stuck inna tummy!" (unless I went into labour late last night/early this morning because I drafted this post yesterday). I am starting to think she's determined to be a Virgo like her big brother because she is quickly running out of Leo days. The hospital is giving me until Monday to let my body work it out naturally, then I'll have to go in to "discuss" other alternatives. Because this pregnancy wasn't exactly planned we were very unsure of our dates, so our due date is based purely on a dating scan done in week 8... which means she could just be doing her thing the way nature intended.

Children just love teaching you to emanate the important mama quality- patience. So, I am trying as best I can to relax and let her do her thing.

As for my creative space... I was waiting for my Mum to get here next week in order to help fashion some more of these little guys, but she has now delayed her flight by a few days so I might be on my own. North has loads of wooden animals, cars, trucks and finger puppets but he doesn't really have any play people. I am going to start off by making a family of 4- a mama, dada and a little boy and girl. He'll get them on his birthday with a gorgeous stacking house from here. I am using Tania's gorgeous tutorial as a guideline. I also got all the information about ordering these dolls from the same post.

Happy creative Thursday and of course, as usual head to Kirsty's for some more inspiration.

Virgo's are great! I LOVE my Virgo friends...they come and clean and organize my house, and they'll always stay to help clean up after a party! I don't know where I'd be without them!
Best of luck as you wait through these final days of pregnancy...it will all unfold as it is meant to, and in the meantime you'll have some gnomes to play with! (I'd take gnomes over labour anyday)!

Cripes! It's all tenterhooks at your house! May the wee one arrive in her own sweet time (er, preferably before that 'discussion'). Stay calm, Mama. Craft another sweet gnomey...

PS. Just as a heads up, star jumps at 4am in the morning don't seem to bring on labour. I tried.

Ohh the anticipation!! Both my bubs arrived a few days before their 'official' due date so there was no real 'waiting' to be done (lucky for me as I'm not good at waiting surprises!). Enjoy these last few days/hours before you meet your little one face to face. :)

Mine was a late bubba but came at his own time. But since I'd been on bed rest to keep him in initially - it felt like years!! LOL

I love those little dolls. We have them to play with but I think some clothes and hats might be in order now :-)

Bah, patience! Hang in there. I hope it all goes to plan, but even if it doesn't, meeting your little girl for the first time will be magnificent, no matter what! xx

Meagan, I know this comment might help you for your third child - bit late and all as I'm reading from your archives - plenty of my friends have ''lied' about their due dates so that the hospital leaves them alone for another 15 days plus. Not sure if I could do it but there you have it. Katie xxx
