handmade-pants and shorts
my creative space...
I've been making some pants and shorts for a growing boy. These fabrics were bought at the thrift shop for pennies. I love the imitation linen- it's not exactly boy-friendly material, but a little washing powder and sunshine always goes a long way.
For some more creative fun stop by Kirsty's ravishing ruby red place.

hi, glad to see you back mama. ps what exactly is imitation linen?
these are handsome little pants
LOL. It's just fabric that kind of looks like linen to me! xx
just want to say that real linen is really boy friendly! my son has linen shirts & pants that i made him 4 years ago when he was 7. he outgrew the pants last year (nary a hole. just a bit faded) & the shirt this summer. the shirt is white handkerchief linen, and did require some patching this summer, but it washes beautifully, doesn't hold stains (even berry stain washed out!), wears like iron and is cool and comfortable. my son is rough on clothes, too...
seems very child friendly to me =) Looks great!
