ecoMILF's pinterest and a mini announcement

Announcements first- we're moving again! In six days we'll be moving about 3 km away from our current abode in Sydney to a smaller (read between the lines: cheaper) but homier little place. The house is one storey (as opposed to the confused three stories we live in now) with woodfloors and new carpets, an antique fireplace and a big old yard that needs a whole lot of love. Renting is really starting to do my head in- with two little ones I so badly want to make a place my home. But I hope, although we will probably only be in Sydney for another two years, that this really will be a short-term home (as opposed to house). I am making it my goal to really outfit the place right and to use all of the thrifting and etsy purchasing power possible to create a place that is filled with life, love, beauty and inspiration.

For about a month now I have been "pinning" inspirational images I find on the web at pinterest. The idea is similar to bookmarking your favourite sites, only it's all a visual reference. You can create your own 'boards' (ie/ kitchen, living room etc.) and when you go to a website simply click the "pin it" icon on your bookmarks bar to insert it onto your boards. Check out mine and join if you're interested. I have no affiliation with pinterest- just a free application I am really enjoying at the moment. Happy pinning!

PS. The photos above are all from my various pinterest boards. See the account for details. xx

I know what you mean about renting... we did it for a year when we moved here, but it came out OK, depsite having a toddler & a baby in it. It was smaller, which was less housework as far as I was concerned!! Good luck, hope you can make it your home while you are there...

Oh Meagan, we are doing the exact same thing! The removalist is booked for this Thursday. (Hence why I have been a little slack with replying to your email; sorry!) We hope to be here in the mountains for only a year or two more, before moving up to the north coast. Good luck with it all! xx

Pintrest looks great - do I need an invite or something? Tried to sign up but cant:( It looks great:)

I am with you on the renting - but since we move states every two years I dont want to get overly attatched to a house and make it out home as I would not want to leave. (and spilting the family is not going to happen just so the kids and I can stay put at this moment in time)

Good luck with the move and looking forward to you making it yours.
