I am sorry to admit poor little Indigo has been without a mobile for the past 8 months of her life. When we moved house our old mobile became impossibly tangled and after hours upon hours of trying, I gave up and cut it to pieces. It has yet to be put back together. Instead, I finally got around to sewing a simple and very peaceful mobile featuring a dove, an olive leaf, a raincloud and the Father Sun. They are made of handsewn wool felt and hang from a fallen branch found in the yard.
Indigo is absolutely smitten with it and enjoys cooing and da-da-da-ing to it while she settles down for her naps. I only wish I'd gotten my act together sooner.

It's beautiful in it's simplicity. I might just try something similar!
gorgeous M! and I love your winter garden...mine has been eaten by pesky little creatures. I need to replant and keep an eye on the caterpillars x
That is absolutely beautiful. It's amazing the beautiful things we can create with our hands, that don't cost us a lot of money.
Love it! I'm hoping to make the new baby's mobile here too! (possibly 8 months after the fact at this rate ;)
