I saw a sign up for a garage sale very close to where we found our precious dollhouse, and I just knew we had to go. Good call, Mama because we scored this gorgeous pine rocking horse for $10!!! Indigo just adores it and so does North. We brought it home, sanded, cleaned and buffed it up with beeswax. We learned from playgroup, when the children are having trouble taking turns, to sing "Ride a Cock Horse" once (sometimes twice) through and then to switch. Works a treat.

PS. I assure you I don't dress my children this kookily usually- North was in his pajamas (and Indi's socks) and we were all low on clothes as everything was packed for our trip when I took these photos. Just a vain little sidenote.

what a lovely rocking horse. i can tell that you children are having fun with it.
What are talking about? His stripes are fabulous! And that's a great score!
How fun! Don't you wish someone would make adult sized toys like this?
You never wear enough stripes in the one outfit if you ask me!
What a find!
I haven't been blogging much lately so it's been awhile since I've checked in - I can't believe how much Indigo has grown! Or how much she looks like North! :)
How funny! I was just thinking "How cute! she lets North pick out his own outfits!" It's like you read my mind!
Not so much kooky, definitely cute!
I am lovin' the"kooky" look! We are all about that in this house. And please can you sprinkle that lucky.garage.sale.find dust this way. I am never that lucky!
A great find! You've inspired me to clean ours up that's sitting out in the garage. I was admiring how comfy your kids were before you mentioned they looked kooky...I think they look great!
